Itinerary and calendar

The day-by-day itinerary view, how timed and multi-day plans land on each day, adding a place straight to a day, and giving dateless plans a date.

A trip gives you two ways to see your plans. The Overview tab is the master list — every plan grouped and filterable by type. The Itinerary tab is the calendar: one row per day of the trip, with each day's plans inside it.

Every crew member can browse both views. Adding plans to a day requires edit access. member

Note

The Itinerary view is built from the trip's start and end dates. If the trip doesn't have dates yet, the tab asks for them first — an organizer can add dates from the trip's Overview tab.

Getting around the day view

  • A date strip runs across the top — one chip per trip day, plus a Today button. Tap a chip to jump to that day; as you scroll the list, the strip follows and highlights the day you're looking at.
  • Day rows start collapsed, showing the date and a plan count like "Sat 06/20/2026 (3)". Tap a day to expand it.
  • Inside a day, plans sort by time, each as a card you can tap for its details sheet.

All-day, timed, and multi-day plans

A plan that starts and ends on the same day shows its time on that day's card. A plan that spans several days — a hotel stay, a sailing — appears on every day it covers, with a label that tells you which end of it you're looking at:

Add a place to a day

Each day row has a + Add button that creates a plan already attached to that day.

  1. 1
Tap + Add on the day.
  2. 2
Pick the plan type — activity, accommodation, flight, transport, and the rest.
  3. 3
Fill in the form; the date is pre-set to the day you started from.
  4. 4
    Tap Add Plan.
+ Add on a day opens the plan form with that day pre-selected

Adding to a day needs a connection and edit access — without permission, Limbo explains that only the trip organizer or crew with the appropriate permission can add activities. organizer

Tip

Expand a day and scroll past its plans: Limbo suggests popular places around your destination, minus anything already on the itinerary. Tap one to preview it and add it to the day.

Give a dateless plan a date

Plans don't need a date to exist — ideas can sit on the Overview tab until the group commits (filter them with Unscheduled plans only, see Manage your plans). When a plan has no date, a red Add date button appears on its row and its details sheet:

  1. 1
    Tap Add date.
  2. 2
Pick the date and time — accommodation asks for check-in and check-out, transport for a pickup time.
  3. 3
Tap the checkmark to save. The plan moves onto the right day of the itinerary.

Tap the date field and spin the picker wheel.

Adding a date this way needs a connection — Limbo asks you to reconnect if you're offline.

Your phone's calendar

Limbo doesn't sync the whole itinerary to your phone, but any single plan exports in one tap: open its details sheet and hit the calendar button. See Plan details.
