Add a plan
Create activities, food stops, stays, flights, transport, tours, cruises, and notes from the map-first trip hub.
Plans are the building blocks of your trip: everything from a dinner reservation to a multi-leg flight. Each plan type has its own form. Add a cost to a plan and it automatically appears in Expenses. For a cost that does not need itinerary details, editors can also open Expenses and tap Add expense.
Adding plans is for trip organizers and crew members the owner has given edit permission. If you don't have permission, the add button shows a message explaining that only the trip organizer or crew members with the appropriate permission can add activities. organizer
Add a plan
- 1Open the trip.
- 2Tap the round + in the hub, or tap Plans and use the + in its header.
- 3Pick a plan type: accommodation, flight, activity, transport, tour, cruise, or note.
- 4Fill in the required details for that type. Most place-based plans need a name and location; notes need a title and note text. Specialized forms have their own required fields.
- 5Tap the checkmark in the form header. The plan appears in the Plans timeline right away.

| Type | Good for | Extras |
|---|---|---|

| Tour | Guided tours and day trips | Same fields as activities |
| Cruise | Sailings | Ship, ports, cabin, port stops |

Add a standalone expense
Open Expenses and tap Add expense when you only need to record a cost. Enter the amount and choose or add a category. Switch on Recurring daily to select the first and last day; Limbo treats the amount as the per-day cost and includes both dates in the projected total. Tap the header checkmark to save it. The record remains an expense linked to the trip's plan system. This shortcut needs a connection and is available to organizers and crew with edit access.
Dates and times are optional on most plans: leave them blank and the plan sits under Anytime. To schedule an undated activity or food plan, accommodation, note, tour, or transport later, open its details and tap Add date beside the date area. Flights and cruises use their full edit forms. Costs are optional too; costed plans roll into Expenses in the trip currency. Enter whole units first, then type a decimal point if you need cents. When trip cost splitting is enabled, every costed plan type—including flights, transport, and cruises—also shows the split override and Paid by controls on both add and edit forms. Activities, accommodation, and other bookable plans also have a Mark as booked switch so the row gets a Booked chip.
Flights: look up by flight number

- 1Choose Flight as the plan type.
- 2Enter the airline and flight number.
- 3Pick the departure date. Limbo looks the flight up automatically.
- 4If more than one flight matches (multi-leg routes, codeshares), pick yours from the list.
- 5Check the departure and arrival times and airports Limbo filled in.
- 6Add your seat if you know it, then tap the checkmark to save. You can add a passenger list when editing the saved flight.
Once a flight is saved, Limbo keeps it updated automatically: schedule changes and delay warnings show on the flight's details sheet, and you can get flight-update notifications.
Cruises: ports and stops
The cruise form takes the ship name, embarkation and disembarkation ports with their dates, and an optional cabin number and confirmation number. Tap the port stops button to open the port editor and add each stop on the itinerary with its date.
Proposing a plan for a vote
If the trip has voting switched on, a new plan doesn't go straight onto the itinerary, it becomes a proposal on a ballot for the crew to vote on. The form tells you up front with a "This plan will require group voting" notice; tap the info icon next to it to see the trip's voting requirements (approval threshold, participation minimum, deadline).

Tip
New proposals are sealed by default: while the ballot is open nobody sees the running tally, only who's voted so far. The full count is revealed when the ballot closes. The owner can switch Sealed votes off per trip to show a live tally instead; see Sealed and anonymous ballots. Voting is configured per trip by the owner, not per plan.
Changing a plan later
- Edit: open the plan's details and use the pencil when that plan type provides one. Organizers and crew with edit permission only.
- Schedule an undated plan: tap Add date when it appears, choose the timing, and save with the checkmark. This shortcut also needs edit permission.
- No connection? Plans you add, edit or delete offline appear instantly and are queued. When you reconnect, use the Offline sync banner to check or retry them.
