Delete your account
The exact deletion flow, what happens to your trips, votes, and messages, and why it can't be undone.
Deleting your account closes it for good. This article walks through the exact flow, spells out what happens to the trips, votes, and messages you leave behind, and what to sort out before you go.
Who can do what: only you can delete your own account. Trip owners and organizers have no power over anyone else's account.
Heads up
Deletion cannot be undone. Once you confirm, you can't sign back in to this account, and the email address can't be used to create a new one.
Before you delete
Your account may be the owner of trips your crew still uses. Owner-only controls — the invite link and the voting settings — stay locked to your account after you leave, so hand things over first:
- Promote a co-organizer on each trip you own, so someone can still resolve and reopen ballots. See Organizers and your crew.
- Share anything only you have, like booking references sitting in your email, into the trip chat or a plan's notes.
The deletion flow
- 1On the Home screen, tap your avatar in the top-right corner to open Settings.
- 2Tap Account.
- 3Scroll to the bottom and tap the red Delete Account button.
- 4A confirmation appears: "Are you sure you want to delete your account? This cannot be undone."
- 5Tap Confirm to delete, or Cancel to keep your account.

The moment you confirm, you're signed out on this device and returned to the login screen.
What happens to your data
Group trips are shared records, so deleting your account closes the account itself but doesn't rip your contributions out of your crew's trips:
- Trips — trips you created stay available to the crew on them, and trips you joined keep going without you.
- Votes — your votes stay in resolved tallies and reveals, exactly as they were cast.
- Messages — your chat messages remain in the conversation for the crew.
- Your account — sign-in is blocked permanently, and the email address stays tied to the deleted account, so it can't be reused for a new registration.
Note
Want specific content removed as well — photos, messages, or a whole trip you own? Delete those inside the app before deleting the account, or contact support afterwards via Settings → Help & Feedback → Contact Support (from any account) or the contact page on this site.
