Ads, partner offers, and Travel guides
Where sponsored cards can appear, how booking commissions work, and how to use or report creator guides.
Limbo keeps trip collaboration free with clearly separated advertising and travel-partner links. Paid placement never changes your crew's plans, ballot results, or the order of organic recommendations.
Sponsored cards
Eligible signed-in free accounts may see a card labelled Sponsored while online: on Home, after the AI planner has finished an itinerary, or in Travel guides. Sponsored cards do not appear inside planner questions, voting, chat, Preflight tasks, Expenses, or live itinerary and map navigation.
Limbo records an impression only after at least half of the card is visible. If you tap it, Limbo records an opaque click identifier and opens the sponsor's server-approved link. Annual Limbo Pro removes these cards.
Sponsored cards are controlled by Limbo's server. Limbo can replace or remove a campaign globally or for an individual placement without an app update, and a card that has been switched off is removed from the app. A placement may contain a Limbo-managed campaign or a Google native ad; Limbo does not keep a fallback advertisement in the app.
Before a Google ad can load, Limbo checks whether Google requires an ad-consent choice in your region. You can review the choices Google makes available from Profile → Ad privacy choices. Limbo requests non-personalized ads in this release and does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites. Turning a placement off on Limbo's server, going offline, changing account, or activating Pro removes a loaded card and prevents another request for that placement.
Partner booking links
You may also see Partner links such as Compare rates or Check availability beside a relevant stay or activity. These are user-requested booking utilities, so they remain available when Pro is active. Limbo may earn a commission if you book; the disclosure appears beside the link.
Before current in-trip booking context is placed into an outbound partner link, a confirmation names the partner and shows every trip field that will be shared. Depending on the offer, that can be a coarse destination, relevant travel dates, or an exact selected public place that came from structured place data. Limbo does not send exact coordinates, inferred crew size, private notes, arbitrary free text, or raw account, trip, plan, email, or invite identifiers. Tap Continue to send the displayed fields and open the partner's current link, or Cancel to send no click. Once the partner page opens, the browser or device may share normal connection information and cookies under that partner's privacy policy.
Booking happens with the named travel provider. Limbo does not change the provider's price, hold your booking, or handle its cancellation or refund.
Travel guides
Open Travel guides from Home to browse free itineraries from approved creators.
Tap Use this guide to copy its itinerary into a new private trip. The copy is yours to edit and never adds the creator or their private information to your crew. Booking links are not copied into your editable plans.
If a guide is unsafe, spammy, or misleading, tap Report. Tap Block creator to remove all of that creator's guides from your account immediately.
Where a guide is eligible for creator attribution, its creator may receive 30% of Limbo's net commission after an attributable booking is completed and the partner actually pays Limbo. Impressions and clicks alone do not earn a creator payment.
