Trip checklists

Create shared checklists on a trip, add and check off items together, and keep packing on track — online or off.

Every trip has a Checklist tab — shared to-do lists the whole crew can see and tick off together. Packing lists, pre-departure errands, grocery runs for the villa: one trip can hold as many checklists as you need.

Who can do what: everyone on the trip can open checklists, add items, and check things off. member Creating a new checklist and deleting one require edit access — organizers always have it, and the trip owner can grant it to other crew members. organizer

Create a checklist

    Open the trip and swipe to the Checklist tab.

    Tap + Add a checklist (or the red + button if the tab is empty).

    Choose Blank and give it a name, like "Packing List".

    Or switch to From Template to start from one of your saved templates — see Checklist templates.

    Tap Create (or Use Template). The checklist appears immediately.

Tip

If the trip has a destination and a start date, the From Template tab also offers the AI Health Kit — a generated health-prep checklist for your destination. See The Health Kit.

Work with items

Tap any checklist card to open the editor:

  • Add items — type in the Add item… field and tap the plus. The field keeps focus so you can rattle off a whole packing list in one sitting; new items appear at the top.
  • Check things off — tap the checkbox. Completed items get struck through, and the progress counts on the card and the tab header update for everyone.
  • Remove an item — tap the trash icon on its row.

Each card shows "X of Y completed" with a percentage pill, and the tab header totals progress across all the trip's checklists — handy for a pre-departure sanity check.

Delete a checklist

If you have edit access, tap the small trash icon on a checklist card. Limbo asks you to confirm, because deleting a checklist removes all of its items too — there's no undo. organizer

Offline

Checklists are fully offline-first:

  • Creating a checklist, adding items, checking them off, and deleting all work in airplane mode.
  • Changes show up instantly on your phone and sync automatically when you're back online.
  • The one exception is generating a Health Kit, which needs a connection because the content is generated live.

Note

When several people edit the same checklist, Limbo refreshes it each time you open the editor, so you'll see crewmates' latest ticks and additions.

Permissions

  • Open checklists, add items, check off, remove items: every crew member on the trip. member
  • Create and delete checklists: organizers and crew with edit permission. organizer
