Delete your account & data

Last updated: 13 August 2026

About this page

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and data in Limbo: Travel Planner, the app published by Wicked Funnels (ABN 18 616 868 350). The in-app action is a deletion request: once Limbo accepts it, account access is disabled, you are signed out, and deletion of the data Limbo controls begins. You do not also need to email us.

Delete your account in the app

You must be online so Limbo can accept the request:

  • Open Limbo and tap your avatar on Home to open Settings.
  • Tap Account.
  • Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  • Confirm when prompted. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may ask you to confirm the connection again so Limbo can revoke it.
  • When the server accepts the request, your account access is disabled and you are signed out. Remaining deletion work continues even if a processor is temporarily unavailable.

Request deletion by email

Can’t access the app? Email support@getlimbo.app from the email address on your Limbo account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify it’s you, start the same account-deletion process, and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

What gets deleted

The deletion process removes or anonymises personal information in Limbo’s active systems, including:

  • Your identity and access: sign-in is blocked; your name, email address, password, avatar, notification settings, and other profile fields are removed or replaced on the closed account.
  • Private trips: an owned trip with no other active joined member is deleted with its plans and private trip content.
  • Private planner material: forwarded booking emails, pending imported plans, private planner sessions and drafts, and personal checklist templates are deleted.
  • Personal files and creator material: files that Limbo can attribute to your account are removed, and any public creator profile or guides are taken out of publication and anonymised.
  • Account-linked operational data: push tokens, private notification records, reports, blocks, guide-copy records, and sponsored-content attribution are deleted or scrubbed where Limbo controls them.

Shared trips and records we retain

  • Shared trips. A shared trip you own transfers to an active joined crew member where possible. Trips owned by someone else also remain available to their crew. Your membership is removed, and identifying or private fields in your contributions are removed or anonymised while the shared record stays usable.
  • Shared decisions and communications. Resolved vote records may remain without your comments or proposer links. Your messages are replaced with a deleted-account marker, and attachments attributable to your account are removed.
  • Backups and provider retention. Residual copies may remain until they are overwritten through normal backup cycles. Service providers may also retain limited records under their own retention practices.
  • Transaction, security, and legal records. We may retain limited purchase, refund, fraud-prevention, security, or other records where reasonably necessary or legally required. They are kept only for the applicable purpose and retention period.

Purchase records held by Apple or Google are governed by the store provider’s retention practices and are not deleted merely by deleting your Limbo account. Deleting Limbo also does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel Limbo Pro through the store account that bought it.

Apple and subscription-processor cleanup

Limbo starts Sign in with Apple revocation and deletion of its subscription-processor profile as part of the request. Account access disablement and Limbo’s own deletion work do not wait for those providers to be online. If an external request is temporarily unavailable, it remains pending and Limbo retries it securely when it has the required authorization.

Some older Apple-linked accounts may not have a revocation capability that Limbo can recover automatically. You can also remove Limbo from Apple Account Settings → Sign in with Apple. This is separate from cancelling a store subscription.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. Where the relevant control is available, you can delete individual trips, plans, checklist items, photos, and other content in the app. Shared content may remain for other trip members or in backups as described above. To request removal of specific data, email support@getlimbo.app and tell us what you’d like deleted.
